Welcome to the Travis County ESD #4 website,

In 1993, a public vote was passed for the formation of Travis County, Emergency Services District #4. An ESD is a geographical area, supported by taxes, to provide emergency services within it’s district. The ESD is governed by a five member board appointed by the County Commissioners.

Emergency Service Districts are created to allow for improvements in rural fire protection areas. They are intended to build a partnership with municipalities ensuring adequate service delivery is provided.

There are currently thirteen (13) ESD’s in Travis County.

The ESD will assist the various municipalities with rapid population growth in their area, ensuring service coverage requirements are met now and into the future!
